The familiar ring sounds, the doors slide open, and in comes the next visitor to the Gift Shop at Greenstreet Gardens. Ah, that scent is gorgeous! The combination of dried florals, a variety of candles, and a touch of gardener’s soap brings one to a sense of calm. The tune from the overhead speakers sends one reminiscent of days past as she finds herself singing along. Perhaps she’s there to browse through the newest Vera Bradley handbags, crossbodies or totes. As she heads in the first alcove, she passes the Maryland display with outerwear from Route 1 Apparel, the Spartina Bay Dreams Totes, and the collection of lotions from the Naked Bee. Ah, more pleasant aromas! The tub with Luxe shower steamers and Finchberry Soaps may distract her. She may stop to weigh her options between the Scout Pocket Rocket tote and the Featherweight Tote Bag in Artist’s Garden Purple. Perhaps she’ll take both. All the new spring colors are so enticing! Florals, purples, pastels, and even pink flamingos. She may even decide to pick up a zip id lanyard to spice up her work ID! So many choices, so fun to shop.
In the meantime, a young man comes in and heads straight to the Man Cave. While he’s there to replenish his Duke Cannon Beard Wash supply, he stumbles across some new additions. First, he lets out a chuckle when he sees the flask that reads, “Trust me you can dance! Whiskey” by Capabunga. That may make a good gift for an upcoming wedding or reunion. Then he decides to pick up a Good Southerner sticker “Mama Tried” because he heard that a time or two! He looked at the Kanga coolers and the Dr. Squatch soaps before he grabbed his grooming wash and of course, a bag of Righteous Felon jerky, just because! Men have shopping options too…with more to come in April!
A group of ladies on their way to lunch in Deale, stopped by to pick up gifts. On their minds was the Providence Center Pottery—a best selling product constantly being restocked. Pieces made by individuals with disabilities from Anne Arundel County are quite popular, Maryland blue crab mugs, bowls and platters catch the eyes of one while the other selected the olive oil decanter from the starfish line. The third lady from the group was especially fond of turtles, so the brie baker with a turtle was her choice. As they each made their purchases, the cashier offered to remove the price tags and elegantly wrap each one in decorative tissue and place it in a Greenstreet Gardens gift bag, with a choice of ribbon, free of charge! One less thing to worry about and off to lunch.
Lots of good finds in the Gift Shop at Greenstreet Gardens! Stop in and see us!
