RHODODENDRON

rhodos
With its huge spring blooms, there’s not much not to love about rhododendrons. Closely related to azaleas, rhododendrons grow best in light shade with protection from midday sun and prefer a moist, well-drained soil. They are acid lovers; check the soil ph before planting – you want the pH level to be around 5.5.  Adjust the soil pH as needed.  When planting, mix in plenty of compost and don’t let it dry out.
